Jazz Busuu – Terms of Service (Pakistan)

Welcome to Jazz Busuu, a digital language-learning platform designed to help you improve your skills conveniently and effectively.

By registering for or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you may discontinue use at any time.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, forming a binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and Busuu, in partnership with Jazz (“we”, “our”, “us”).

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect improvements or regulatory requirements. Material updates will be communicated in advance. Continued use of the Service means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Account Registration & Eligibility

• To access Busuu, register using a valid mobile number or email address.
• You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority).
• Keep your registration details accurate and secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Your personal information will be handled per our Privacy Policy, in line with PTA and Pakistan’s data protection laws.
• Accounts may be suspended if subscription payments remain unpaid for more than one month.

3. Use of Service

• The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
• You agree to use it only for lawful and personal purposes.
• You are responsible for all content (“User Content”) you upload and must ensure compliance with our Usage Policy and local regulations.

4. Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of your content but grant Busuu and its partners a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for providing and improving the Service.
• All Busuu names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of Busuu. Unauthorized copying or modification is not permitted.

5. Usage Policy

You agree not to:

• Post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, or offensive.
• Engage in impersonation, harassment, or fraud.
• Distribute malware or attempt unauthorized access.
• Violate any intellectual property or telecommunication laws of Pakistan.

Non-compliance may result in suspension or termination of your account.

6. Payments & Refunds

• Premium features can be activated via Jazz Direct Carrier Billing (DCB).
• All payments are final and non-refundable, except for verified duplicate or billing errors.

7. Feedback

We welcome your suggestions and feedback to improve our services. By sharing feedback, you allow Busuu to use it freely without obligation or compensation.

8. Termination

• You may deactivate your account anytime through the app or by contacting customercare@switch.com.pk.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, fraud, or unpaid dues.
• Upon termination, access and data may be permanently removed per our data retention policy.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Busuu provides the Service “as is.” While we strive for reliable performance, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Neither Busuu nor Jazz shall be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

10. Copyright Complaints

If you believe your content or intellectual property has been used without permission, please contact:

• Details of the copyrighted material
• Description of the infringing content
• Your contact information

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall first be resolved amicably between the User and Busuu/Jazz.
